“Gosh, internet, you sure do have a lot of sites. You even seem to have sites even for very unlikely things. I wonder if you have a site dedicated to that most famous ancient weapon, the sling, and people who embrace this archaic method of hurling little bits of heavy stuff at their enemies?”
And the internet answers, “Of course.”
Hey! UT won the national college football title! Wow! And that, of course, means tower that’s all lit up. So here’s a picture of it for those of you who either can’t get to Austin in time to see it or who are just too lazy to make the drive and face the crowds.
Did I say “crowds?” ‘Cos I gotta tell ya, it was awful crowded around campus last night. The highlght, which I didn’t manage to capture with my camera, was the jacked-up jeep with three or four pairs of longhorn horns scattered about that was also blaring a recording of the Longhorn band playing “The Eyes of Texas” and the Texas fight song while stuck in traffic right in front of the LIttlefield Fountain (which is pictured in the foreground of this shot, in case you don’t know what/where that is).
In any case, hook ‘em!
