Happy Snow Day, Austin!
48 hours of Winter
is all that I can stand.
I live in a town that has no
trucks for spreading sand.
But 48 hours of Winter
brings a little bit of Zen.
Time to contemplate the world
before we dive back in again.
Just a little pome inspired by the sights I seldom see.

Very Nice!
Reminds me of when I was almost killed by a falling wall of Icicles..
Ah memories….

That would’ve been what, last month sometime? Congrats on the new addition, by the way. I was terribly worried that the weather in your area would’ve complicated things. Huzzah that it didn’t! Or at least, didn’t as much as it could have.

Heh Heh – no, unfortunately only little icicles with these last couple of blizzards – not enough melting I guess…
Thanks – we are very pleased with our little genetic experiment – she’s quite a joyous handful (man they don’t kid about the sleep deprevation thing!)
We actually did have to get a friend to drive us home from the Hospital since the Blizzard had left the roads a wreck – but I was able to get our trusty Honda sedan back home ok the next day.
We got another 10 inches of pure powder on Sunday – Hizzah!!
At least the constant shoveling is giving me my first real exercise in years… :p

Rockin’ across the board, daddio. And hey, when I call you “daddio” now, I really mean it.
You need to get one of those gas-powered slow blowers with the enclosure so you don’t have to lift a finger and don’t get caught in the spray. At least, I think such things exist. Down here in god’s country we don’t need nothing like that.
